Viasaterna is pleased to participate in the 27th edition of Art Rotterdam 2026 with an exhibition project presented in the Unseen Encounters section, staging a dialogue between emerging artist Camilla Gurgone (Lucca, Italy, 1997) and multidisciplinary artist Teresa Giannico (Bari, Italy, 1985). The project brings together Gurgone’s research on time, memory, and the poetic potential of everyday objects with Giannico’s explorations of digital image manipulation and the ways in which algorithms shape perception, highlighting how both artists investigate the interaction between human experience and technology.

Teresa Giannico will present her recent digital compositions, in which fragments of images sourced online are reworked and recombined into new visual landscapes. Her practice lies at the crossroads of painting, collage, and photography, drawing from a vast web-based archive to create compositions that she refines both digitally and manually, often adding tactile depth with charcoal. Camilla Gurgone’s work examines the intersection of language and temporality, exploring how human perception engages with generative processes.
