Viasaterna is pleased to present the solo exhibition Punto d’incontro by Carlo Cossignani in collaboration with Volvo Studio Milano, opening on Tuesday 10th September at 7pm.
The research of Carlo Cossignani (Porto San Giorgio, 1981) focuses on the dual aspect of reality as a focal point for a greater understanding of the nature of things and how this manifests itself. Whether two- or three-dimensional, his works are constructed as architectures around a subtle dialogue with the void, understood as a substance in the process of becoming.
The exhibition project created ad hoc for the spaces of Volvo Studio Milano includes a body of works belonging to the series Floating pattern, Floating Point, as well as a sculptural intervention. In the void modelled by imperceptible presences inherent in the artist's hands, the forms within his works are defined in their duality between presence and absence, light and shadow, sleep and wakefulness.
