Fondazione MIA presents at Astino (BG) - winner this year of the national landscape award promoted by the Ministry of Culture - the exhibition Cinque Viaggi, 1990 - 98, dedicated to the work of Guido Guidi, one of the masters of italian photography.
The exhibition presents 60 photographs taken by Guido Guidi in the 1990s. The sequence combines, for the first time, images created within two important public documentation projects - Archivio dello spazio and Milano senza confini - and other photographs, never exhibited or published until now, that Guidi selected from the negatives of the time. The exhibition is configured in this way as an occasion of rereading and systematization of a central phase of work in the artistic biography of the photographer. After the anthologies on the researches carried out since the seventies in Sardinia, Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, Guidi now retraces the geography of Lombardy, an economic center of excellence that between the eighties and nineties has experienced profound economic and social transformations.
