Eel Soup | Federico Clavarino e Tami Izko | Volvo Studio Milano

Federico Clavarino and Tami Izko's Eel Soup is an exhibition project that revolves around the connections between photography and sculpture, creating relationships and cross-references based on a logic linked to the fragment.

Clavarino focuses on slight human presences, elusive gestures and intertwining, telling through the lens a reality made up of small details. The images refer to Izko's sculptures, which form organic apparatuses, in which the plasticity of ceramics is used as a source to render the human form in its different dimensions and modules, as a result, in turn, of an encounter and concatenation of natural elements. In a dialogue, almost intimate, the two artists silently and delicately tell us how simple gestures become the protagonists of a much deeper bond.

On the occasion of the inauguration, the artists will recreate edible sculptures (starting with those created for the Eel Soup project), involving the public and inviting them to 'taste' them.

Inside the offices, a selection of photographs by Federico Clavarino will be set up in dialogue with Tami Izko's ceramics.

Opening 12 October 2023, 7 p.m.
At Volvo Studio Milan
(Viale della Liberazione corner Via Melchiorre Gioia)
