Teresa Giannico | Immagini Impossibili
Viasaterna is pleased to announce the participation of Teresa Giannico in the exhibition Immagini Impossibili, curated by Arianna Catania, which will take place at Roma Arte in Nuvola from 21st to 23rd November, 2025.
The exhibition aims to transcend the limits of the visible through an exploration of the expressive potential of contemporary photography, once it moves beyond its documentary function to become a space of experimentation, fiction, and wonder. It unfolds along a conceptual rather than chronological path, suggesting new ways of seeing: each work becomes a threshold, a passage into the unknown that opens up countless interpretations. An invitation to abandon visual certainties in order to explore new perceptive possibilities. Because in art, the impossible can become the key to narrating the possible.
The works of thirty-three Italian and international artists challenge the rules of logic and perception: ambiguous, paradoxical, and uncanny visions; multiplying bodies; altered perspectives; unreal objects. Each work questions what is commonly recognized as “true,” opening visual portals to alternative worlds. A plurality of languages illustrates how, since its origins, photography has been far more than a simple record: a critical tool capable of altering perception and stimulating the imagination. And it does so through highly diverse techniques—from ancient analog practices to radical digital manipulations, including collage, overlays, and artificial intelligence.
