Marion Baruch | Exhibition Cotidie Tradĕre at Palazzo della Loggia, Brescia

As part of Meccaniche della Meraviglia 19, on Friday, September 26 an exhibition dedicated to Marion Baruch (Timisoara, 1929) will be inaugurated in the Attic of Palazzo della Loggia. The solo exhibition, titled Cotidie Tradĕre, curated by Ilaria Bignotti, Beatrice Cuccirelli and Camilla Remondina, aims to present for the first time in Brescia the research of a cosmopolitan artist, internationally renowned and exhibited in the world’s most important museums.
The exhibition path opens on the mezzanine floor with Ron Ron, a historical work dated 1972, composed of a ball of fabric and eco-fur, a quiet presence that evokes in the visitor the feeling of being in a domestic environment, and continues with a large Hive, a soft and light grid from 2017, an additional iconic reference to the home and the city, to the industrious place where each person fulfills their duty for the good of the community.
In the large attic, What Remains of the Sky floats, a major work from 2024 made of blue fabric, a color that suggests closeness to the celestial vault, while at the same time paying homage to the City of Brescia. The work is joined by an ideal “reconstructed workshop” of the artist, a true “backstage” composed of many fabrics and the tools through which textiles are transformed into artistic creations.
