Viasaterna
is glad to announce the upcoming exhibition Un Passo Avanti Tanti Dietro by Marion Baruch at Museo Novecento Firenze, curated by Sergio Risaliti and Stefania Rispoli, on view from 15.03 until 08.06.2025.

The exhibition, a tribute to a tireless and cosmopolitan artist, who was born in Romania but lived between Israel, France and Italy, will also include the spaces of Manifattura Tabacchi and Polimoda, which collaborated and generously contributed to the realisation of the project, where various environmental installations will be presented.

The retrospective at Museo Novecento provides an overview of her intense activity, marked by continuous changes of course and new explorations. The artworks on display do not follow a strictly chronological order but highlight the presence of some constant reflections in Baruch's work, such as those around language, work, migration, feminism, patriarchy, consumer society and the internet.

The exhibition path allows us to explore from the first works of the mid-1960s, through the performative sculptures and works realized with designers such as AG Fronzoni and Dino Gavina, the collaboration with the Luciano Inga Pin Gallery in Milan, the birth of NAME DIFFUSION in the 1990s, the Parisian period with the relational and participatory works realised as a collective, and, finally, the textile works produced after 2000, with her return to Italy in Gallarate, for which she is widely recognised internationally.
