Viasaterna is pleased to present a solo booth in the Established Section of this year’s miart edition by Guido Guidi (Cesena, 1941), one of the greatest masters of Italian and international photography.
The broad selection of works focuses on one of the most conceptual aspects of Guidi's work: the sequence. Close to the language of the fragment, his photographs clearly investigate the theme of the variant, minimal shifts between one capture and the next one - be they of a few minutes or entire years - and the investigation of time.
Spanning fifty years of the artist's production (from the late 1960s to the present day), from the black and white of his first experiments as a student at the IUAV in Venice (Mariangela Gualtieri, 1968) to contact colour prints from 20x25 negatives, the exhibition project intends to pay homage to the work of Guidi.
