Kristensen completed a degree in Fine Arts in 2005 at the UNSW College of Fine Arts, where she specialized in 2009 with a Master in Painting. In 2007 Anna Kristensen was invited by the Universität der Künste, Berlin, to take part in Anette Haas' class. From 2009 she has been a professor at the Faculty of Painting, UNSW Art and Design, Sydney. Her recent solo exhibitions include Cover at The Commercial di Sidney (2016), Render at Gallery 9, Sydney (2014), Paintings and Sculptures (with Anna John) at OK Gallery, Perth (2012), and Mise en abyme at Kalimanrawlins, Melbourne (2011). In 2013, Anna was invited to the United States, by the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Omaha, Nebraska, and by the Australia Council Greene St Studio, New York City, and her work was included in Seven Points at the Embassy of Australia Gallery, Washington DC. She is represented by The Commercial, Sidney.
