Francesca Rivetti
Milan, 1972. Lives and works in Milan.
Active in the world of photography since the ‘80s, Francesca Rivetti honed her skills while working in various different environments, and following a course in Fine Art Photography between 1993 and 1994 at the Edinburgh College of Art. Since the mid-2000s she has focused exclusively on her own path of expressive research, creating a corpus of works characterised by an extreme coherence of form and contents, in which the narrative component is mixed with the symbolic. Her main exhibitions include L’altro Sguardo, Palazzo delle esposizioni (Rome, 2018), Back to Space, BACO (Bergamo, 2018), Look at Me, from Nadar to Gursky, Unicredit Pavillon (Milan, 2016), Breath Keepers, MLZ (Trieste, 2014), Al di là delle immagini, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Torino, 2014), Francesca Rivetti, Da Vicino Home Gallery (Milano, 2012), No Soul For Sale, Festival of Independent, Tate Modern (Londra, 2010).
