After having attained a diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 2011, Wieland Payer graduated at the Royal College of Arts, London, and specialized in Fine Arts at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, Halle, in 2009. His works have been included in many group shows, such as Variatio Delectat (Hans Körnig Museum Dresden, 2019), Gemischtes Doppel (Produzenten Galerie, Dresden, 2019), Ostrale, Dresden (2019 e 2014), Sinngefüge (Galerie Biesenbach di Colonia, 2018), Zwiegespräch bei Mondschein (Kunstverein Gera, 2018), Neustart, Produzenten (Galerie Dresden, 2018), The Collective (House of Barnabas, Londra, 2016), Sommergäste V (Sommergalerie Hofefeld di Frauenstein) and Young British 2013 (Lloyds Club di Londra). Over the last two years, Payer has had a number of solo shows, including Biotop at Galerie Rothamel, Erfurt, Lichtung at Museum Koekkoek Haus Kleve, Ultima Thule at Galerie Rothamel di Francoforte, Pastelle at Kunstverein Kohlenhof of Nürnberg, Talstation at Galerie Rothamel, Frankfurt, What’s he building out there? at the Man&Eve Gallery, London, and Im Hercynischen Wald at Galerie Rothamel, Frankfurt.
